This is a common problem I keep having when I run Adobe CS2. The screen gets these black lines and usually the 2nd or 3rd time CS2 is run after a reboot.
The laptop runs on 1GB of RAM.
Anyone else have this problem or know what is causing this?

Are yours entirely static, or do they come and go? Does this only occur when you open PS, or other memory intensive apps too? Does it go away as soon as you close PS, or is Windows still affected until you reboot? Have you tried minimizing/closing PS, clicking on the Windows desktop, and pressing F5 for a screen refresh? 7D, G10, 17-55 f/2.8 IS, 70-200 f/2.8 IS, 100 Macro, 50 f/1.4, 430EX II

This can be due to some problems with the way PS is interacting with your video card. The first step is to go to the Display Properties control panel (right click on your desktop, or via Control Panels), select the "Settings" tab, click on the "Advanced" button, select the "Troubleshoot" tab. You will see a slider control for "Hardware acceleration" set on "Full". Move it one notch down and see if that fixes it. malcolmp
