Hello everyone!

I should be upfront and say that I shoot with a Nikon, not a Canon, but I stumbled across this section of the forum and was blown away by what you guys have posted! My name is Andrew Grannis and I am a graduating senior at Florida Atlantic University, originally from Cleveland.
I am relatively new to photography (got my D3000 in July of 2011) but I am really enjoying it and have been pleased with my progress thus far although I know I have miles to go. My biggest passion has always been cars and I remember going to sports car races at Mid-Ohio before I was even in gradeschool. It makes sense then, that my biggest interest with photography is capturing beautiful machines both on and off the track.
In any event, I just wanted to introduce myself briefly, show you a couple examples of my latest work, and say that I am very excited to learn all I can from you guys!

-Andrew

These were taken at the Sebring Raceway during their Historics even this year. Comments and suggestions are welcome!

Well,... we don't normally respond unless you have a white lens,... ;) but, welcome anyway.

Nice panning shots. Personally, it's hard to get excited without some turning action involved.

Nice panning shots. Your watermark takes a lot away from the photos. Try a softer / smaller mark, and maybe in a different location on the photos.

welcome to POTN Andrew, don't worry about using a Nikon - most of the time I use one, as do many others here. Nice panning shots.

Thanks for the comments everyone! I guess I'm just a little paranoid (probably for no reason)...maybe I'll knock the opacity down a bit. I started with just having the same text, small in the lower right hand corner but then it was suggested that I make it more intrusive when posting it on the internet.

Thanks again for the comments, I'm glad you like them!
