Interesting series, I like nr 3 i both. I find in them more pronounced note of sadness after the big tragedy.

I like the first two. The lights stopping halfway across the bridge (#2) is pretty cool, and the different amounts of light reflecting off the clouds on the two sides.

The day before this storm came ashore, I just could not take the weathermen seriously. So many times have they missed their mark.

This storm was worse for large portions of Conn, NY, NJ and a few other areas then even the was forcasted for.
Some areas it was the storm surge, some the storm surge and wind, and others the wind.

Like a fool, I was outside taking video of the wind and trees. Chance had it that I and my house went unscathed.

My power is back, but there are many who not only are without power, but food, gas, and access to move about. I am not too sure how others outside of the affected area understand the size of the area impacted. Last night it was 38f, and tonight it is supposed to go to 33f, the following night 30f. When there is no light or power, cold meals and a length of time and not knowing when it will end, this is tough on even the toughest.
Think of them and if you pray, pray for them.

just a few of my thoughts...
Pierre

I know how you feel. I was out shooting in the storm. Yes I do like an adventure and putting myself in risky situations, but there were moments that I thought I'd have a hard time staying alive. Fortunately, nothing major happened where I live, but a lot of people had it worse. Their best bet now is to find a shelter with heat and warm food, and wait till their neighborhoods are starting to be more normal.

Those street vendors made for some killer shots. Too bad I was driving around, but caught one on my video. http://youtu.be/WuPLI7WyT8s?t=1m17s (external link)

Very moving images. I still can't believe how dark the NYC skyline looked after Sandy.

Didn't realize Greenpoint and ERP flooded so bad. Missin' that area, can't wait to be back.
