Thanks to a fellow POTN member, I am now the proud owner of a 100 2.8L! With the poor weather outside, I scrambled for ideas inside.

My wife was not being cooperative (I don't think she reads this forum), so I tried to capture my own eye. After fighting with the focus while trying to stand still, I think I finally managed a decent one.

Getting the focus was difficult. The 60D has a swivel mount view finder, so with the camera on the tripod, and the view finder facing me, I was at least able to get in the ballpark. After that, I put the camera into continuous drive mode and just fired away.

As I was not able to keep my head still, I found 1 in 10 photos would be in focus.

Hope that helps.

Can't keep up with the cost? Your gear list is pretty impressive already!
