Experimenting with the Sony RX10 IV and the Canon 500D closeup lens. Mountain Ash berries and Lichen.
Both nice shots, but I'm really "lichen" the lichen.

Thanks much, years of shooting product has taught me simple is best. I really enjoy the fine art of stuff like that. Because of where I moved this winter I plan on building a lot of small set in my spare bedroom so expect a lot of simple fun stuff. I should post some of the stuff I used to shoot at my last job when I was just messing around with product(like making a UFO and hanging it up with a simple starscape behind it out of wheel center caps). pulsar123 Goldmember More info | Jan 03, 2019 12:17 | #2415 Testing my new microscope objective Olympus ULWD Neo Splan 20x0.40 infinity/0 f=180mm , with my Fast Stacker rail and DIY LED light. The Ultra large working distance (ULWD) definitely helps - it's 11mm, which is huge compared to the frame size (1.8x1.2mm on full frame), so frame coverage losses due to the camera movement are minimal. These are stacks 200-300 frames each, using the recommended 2.5um steps. (Using electronic shutter on Canon 6D with Magic Lantern.) This is the first time I am pushing my Fast Stacker to such small steps, and it seems to be performing well.
