Yeah. Spiders, opiliones, mites and a few other critters are all arachnids. They typically have eight legs. Insects are not in this group and are more distantly related.

I find the harvestman's joints extremely interesting. They look like the ball and socket joints in plastic bugs from when I was a kid in the '60s.

This is a 100% crop of 4 scissors and a hemostat of mine that I've had for over fifty years. They were photographed using my 90mm macro lens.
