If they're as good as my possum beanie then they're excellent. Ex NZ.
That too was gifted. Turned up in the mail with a lovely note of appreciation for a job I'd done.
Often wondered about the socks. Do they wear well?

I'd better take a macro of the fibre :-P

They wear very similar to high wool content socks just more furry. I don't remember how much synthetic fiber these ones have but they haven't started falling apart after quite a few winters of indoor use. Outdoors I wear them with my gumboots just because they're a bit thick for my normal shoes/boots and gumboots tend to be very cold.
