Very nicely photographed Ed
I'm curious. That's an invasive weed here, much despised.
Is it a problem at your end?
There are weeds here that don't seem so rampant in their native state which always makes me wonder why.
Gorse one such

Crown vetch and Vipers bugloss are both foreign ("invasive") species here. They grow luxuriant here because there are so few insects any more. I am not much in tune with opinions on the weeds, or on the absence of insects. Most folks don't concern themselves much with these things.

We have a gardener who supports growing milkweed in gardens, as I do. Back in the olden days milkweed looked scruffy with blackened half-eaten leaves. Today they look healthy and whole and fitting for gardens.

I think this is dock, a scruffy brown roadside weed later in the year.

Does this count as macro ?

All 3 taken with a microscope ( parts of it anyway ).

Canon 200D / SL2, 6x and 10x 160mm microscope objectives, about 5 macro tubes ( to achieve the 160mm distance between objective and sensor )

Hair knot @ 10x, stack of 42 images.

Sugar grain @ 6x, stack of 83 images.

Salt grain @ 6x, stack of 40 images.

No, I entered that manually. I could have picked any lens.

Frog season doesn't really kick off for another month or two, but here is an early season Eastern Sedgefrog (Litoria fallax) that I found a couple of nights ago.
