Classically, the artificial macro backgrounds are made of a large enough sheet of blurred painting : positionned at appropriate distance behind the subject...

Mine were colorful pages found in my mother's french "home & decoration" magazines.

This is a flower from a chilli plant my wife has just started growing. The flower is approx 10mm, so such a tiny flora.
