That is amazing! Wonderful detail of the eye. You can see the depth, great colors, and it almost looks 3D.

I'm not sure these photos belong here, as they might be categorized more as images randomly taken with a macro lens vs. a traditional, intentional macro close-up? I bought this lens to play with taking extreme close ups, and so far I really suck at it, lol. I am impatient and have trying to take hand-held images in natural light. Finally I had the camera on a tripod and found I could be sneaky and get pics of my camera-shy cats from a distance in low light - as long as I was on the tripod. So...I am learning that tripods are my friend (this lens is very heavy for an old gal like me), light is also my friend, and that I want to take the lens out and take long shots of landscapes and plants with shallow DOF and see what I can get. Here are my cats taken in very low light from about eight feet away. This is my first macro lens and I look forward to having a fun learning curve ahead of me : )
