I have the Canon 5D MK II along with a 24-105, 70-200 f4 IS and the 100mm IS L and I am happy with all of them. I have read many great things about the two lenses in title and would like to know which len do you think would compliment the lenses I now have? My photography is very general but like candid people pictures.

If portraiture is your thing.. the 135L is damn near hard to beat(on FF). While the 300 f/4L IS is a wonderful lens...with relatively short MFD.. you still would need ample distance for portraits.

My 135L is a problem for me. It makes the rest of my lenses, L or not, look bad. If outdoor portraits is your interest, you will absolutely love that lens for it's sharpness and its amazing ability to separate the subject from the background.

1Dx - 5DIII - 40D - Canon 24-70LII, 100L macro, 135L, 16-35L, 70-200 f4 and 100-400L lenses

- "Very good" is the enemy of "great." Sometimes we confuse the two.
