Having said yes to a wedding this time of year, I must be nuts. The sun sets at 1.16 PM and we were supposed to start shooting at 12.30 PM. The Bride and Groom was late. So just a few pictures outdoors in the snow and then we went inside to the church to take some photos there. I'm not a master with flashes, so there was a few problems there to. *sigh* I will never say yes to another winter wedding!

Nice pictures...I particularly like 4, 14, 15. It's really hard to get pictures with all the white, but I think you did a really good job with it and I bet the bride and groom will be very excited with these pictures

Excellent Petra! I think they look great, you did an outstanding job with the conditions you were dealt.

Like you, I will never again do a winter (or a Sunday night) wedding), unless its in the morning with plenty of light. I just got done typing that exact response to someone in the 'corning the pros' wedding sub-forum. You produced some excellent images though! You might check out the other forum and see if you might be able to offer that guy some of your tricks! ;) ...I just told him to "back out."

Daniel, I have one more in february (18th) then I'm out of the winter wedding business... oh lord! But in february the sun won't set so early and I hope there's enough snow to get some great outdoor photo's. That's the fun part, the outdoor stuff... indoors with flashes, nooo... don't like it... natural light is more fun.

Sunset at 1:16 pm?!Yuck!!

Petra, you did a wonderful job. IMHO it doesn't show at all that the circumstances were so difficult. The pictures came out really nice. The bride looks beautiful in all of them, and that is what it is all about. Maybe you could touch up the grooms under-eye circles a bit in #1?

Gosh, Petra, they all look great to me!
You obviously have both the technical experience to deal with difficult metering situations and the creative talent to produce some stunning compositions.

No need to swear off winter weddings. Just charge enough to make it worth your while. ;)

Great job. They all look very nice.
My daughters wedding is next August in Texas. We could use some of that snow then. :D

I did not like the firs one at all(just a color segment of the photo) you need to reduce % of red in his face or to put it back comething is wrong with his skin color...BUT all others were superb!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love it!!!!!

Thanks for your input (and love) guys! Yeah the colors might not be correct in all images, due to a quick job just to put them out there for the couple to review. When they select images they want copies of, I'll make sure they are prefectly color corrected. :)

Stunning. You have a real knack for it. For some reason I really like looking at wedding pictures.

They are beautiful Petra - the couple should be very pleased. Where do you live that the sun sets so early???
