Another one of those "that what cameras were made for" shots. Just wonderful, Joel.

My thoughts exactly.

Joel - This is a superb photograph! Do you mind telling us which lens and diffuser you used?

I'm fortunate to have nice white ceiling in my house, so I bounced the flash and used a white card for fill.

Thanks and Happy New Year! :D

Back it up like 10 times, make prints for all!!!! This holiday I looked back at some family pictures and we were lucky enough to have 5 generations until 1983. Our daughter was 9 and our son was 5. That year I lost both my great-grandmothers.

Best wishes to you and your family Joel for the New Year!

Joe

Thanks very much Joe. Yes, I realize how fortunate we are to still have her with us. She is without a doubt the beloved matriarch of our large extended family.

All the best to you and yours as well. :D

I'm with mcs550 on this one. Back it up an then again. Make sure all your family gets a print I'm sure they will love it as will your wee bundle of joy when she gets older.

Wow...look at the thoughts and love in Grandmothers eyes...nice Joel...I'd sure like to see more shots like this on here...old folks, working folks, people with something to say with their looks other than ""look how cute or pretty I am!"...like this and your fish eye photos...(although I'm still not sure what you are saying in your last fish eye photo, but I'm thinking it wasn't "look how pretty i am!")

As others have already said: Frame this shot and give copies to family. Great picture. This past weekend I took lots of pictures of my wife's grandfather who is 75. He is the only grandparent we have left. Always a treasure siting with him.

Thanks for the very nice compliment Peachman. As for my last fish-eye photo, I'm not sure but I might be subconsciously crying out for some attention. :(

The only suggestion I can make is:

Frame it and hang it as it's a keeper for sure.

And, a very valuable photo for the future.....
