The Rut is on, the turkeys are flocking up for the coming winter and the action is fast and furious. Great time for me to be in the swamp near my home.

Why are they so dark ? Did you do that in PP or are these unedited ? They can make for great images but they need to be brighter .

Spinner. Very nice shots. As asked before, did you darken them? I like it that way.

They are edited, the way I like them. They were all taken at dawn or dusk and I want the viewer to see what I saw when the shutter was released. I am not interested in producing an over lightened version that to me personally looks unreal.
My little woman ( my worst critic ) is also a proponent of the lighter version photos so what your saying is nothing new to me. :)
Will I change my style? Not likely.

Diff strokes for diff folks, but whatever makes any photographer happy with their work is aces with me.

Sorry NASS just saw this. Yes I did play with the lighting a bit to get the effect I felt did the subjects the most justice.

Spinner :)

Very nice shots, I really like the last one. November is my favorite time to be in the woods while the whitetails are rutting. Although, I usually have my bow not a camera with me. :-)

Your little woman has good taste . Not meaning to ruffle your feathers . Just all images look like you used a flash the way the BGs' are all dark but if thats' what floats your boat then use both paddles ;) .

Not meaning to ruffle your feathers .

Your not, it would take more than that. Opinions are just that and I respect yours even though I do not agree.
If we all did photos the same way there would be no market competition and things would get boring fast.

Keep shooting,

Spinner :)

To be totally honest, If I were you I'd be figuring out who I needed to talk to at the NWTF about selling them that shot. I've been a member for several years, and have seen lesser shots / prints (framed) auction for upwards of $300 at the local banquet.

Talking about #1 of the set.
