^^^^Excellent. I seriously need to get myself a bigger BD. I have a small 16'' one. But,I use it to it's full potential.

Thanks, I went with the larger dish so I could do full length body shots outdoors once the weather takes a turn for the better where I live.

That's a great shot with your 16" dish as well.

Man, this thing looks like a killer bargain at $350 WITH battery pack! Seems to be loved by users.

sometimes I regret selling mine....but it was cumbersome, so I went back to my speedlites for ease of transportation. of course speedlites can't match the power output.

I bought two of them back when the price was around $285 each. Never had a problem with either in the 2 years I've owned them.

When and where was it $285. Amazon has them for $320 and $350 depending on which vendor you buy from.

OEC Camera on Ebay had the Mettle 600w AC/DC strobe first and was selling them with the battery pack included of course about 2 years ago. They no longer are selling the 600w strobe but are an excellent source for modifiers and other accessories for the mettle strobes. I also have the 150cm Octobox for mine.

Thanks. Which Octo dome fits the mettle strobe? I like the fact that it comes with the grid. Also, how easy or difficult is it to set up Octo?

I still have this octabox from when I had my mettle strobe. I guess I really should sell it lol.

Any modifier that has a Bowen's mount will fit the Mettle strobes.

First time it can be a bit challenging until you figure out how it goes together, then it's easy after that.

I was afraid of that. The fotodiox ez softboxes set up like umbrellas so Im leaning towards those when I pick up this strobe.

Those are super easy to setup. That's the one I linked above that I still need to get rid of. It does take a little effort opening up the umbrella frame, but once opened, feels sturdy.

I have those and they work perfect. One is the umbrella kind and the other is a traditional assembly. The difference is that one takes 20 seconds to open up and the other takes 4 minutes.

The traditional non umbrella softboxes are a real pain compared to the umbrella type...
