Like the concept but not sure what you were trying to focus on.
To me everything is OOF and it doesn't do anything for me.
IMHO either the background or the telescope should be in focus.
As well the sun is blown out and takes away from the rest of the picture
What lens and setting were you using?

Focused on the telescope.

The composition is good but needs more DOF. IMO I would move the FP away from the telescope and blur it so as a foreground point of interest it doesn't become the only point of interest.

Thanks! it is nice to get a perspective from others so that I can look at things in a different way. I wanted the silouette of the telescope and tried to make the highlight of the sun blownout but not a distraction. The sky took on a grey tone that I liked.
