I'm unable to use a remote shutter release when I'm tethered in live view mode. My 40D and 5DII will do it. Anybody got any ideas?

Thanks

On the SHOOT4:LV func. menu, try setting "Silent LV shoot" to Disable.

Thanks,
I'll give that a try.
Even with the prior bodies it's required that once you get into tethered mode with live view you have to hit the live view button on the camera to be able to use a wireless shutter release.

Sure, I guess. Then again sometimes you can't see the forrest for the trees, along with Canon changing little things from body to body. I've owned the 40D, 7D, 5DII and now the 5DIII.

Thanks for all the help, I guess you just had to show your superiour intelligence and sensitivity.

Feel better now?
