Best announcement I've heard from Canon the past few years, but won't be replacing my caps.

Honestly, the center pinch cap lenses fall off way easier for me than the regular caps :o.

I'm not a fan tbh. I'm happy with the normal ones.

I'm happy with the normal ones, too, but sometimes they're impractical. Like the 100 L; the hood hugs the front optic so tightly that it's very hard to get the cap off when the the hood is in place and practically impossible to put back on again. As a wedding photographer and trying to move quickly, the regular cap makes using this lens obnoxious.

I so want to buy those official center pinch caps with Canon logo! Closest I'll get to buying a 24-70/4L IS or 35/2 IS.

Using the Nikon branded ones can give the impression that I'm making a worn out joke like using a Nikon neck strap on a Canon DSLR does.

Not available until January 2013. I'm in a market for new lenses, should I miss the holiday sales for the sake of having these new lens caps?
