Hey gang. Sorry if this post does not fit and I won't be miffed it it is deleted.

Saw my Dad in February of this year and it looks like that will be the last time. I've got a good shot of him, my Mom and Dad's sister which will probably be the last one I take of him.

Got the dreaded call yesterday that the doctors can do no more for him and he is leaving the hospital to go die in his own bed. That bed is over 4,000 miles from here and there is nothing I can do but talk to him on the phone.

If your parent/s is/are alive, make sure you call them or swing by for a visit tomorrow. If you pray, say some for my Dad. If you don't pray, please send some positive 'vibes' his way.:)

I will miss my Dad dearly.

I'm very sorry to hear this. Lost my mom 10 years ago this December. No easy way to take it and its not any easier knowing its coming. It sucks that you don't get to see him, but make the best of the time on the phone.

I don't pray a lot, but I will for your family tonight

Ron, I feel sorry for you. My mum is not quite on her death bed, but had a pacemaker fitted recently, it really hurt me to find out that she collapsed in her home. But all prayers and thoughts to you and your family, Ron

My heart goes out to you Ron. Just remember, that while the near future will be tough to bear, it always gets better. Surround yourself with friends and family to help you pull through and the emotional healing process will be better.

Stay strong.

Sorry for your loss. Having just lost my father I know how you must feel. Suddenly all those silly iPhone pictures and videos I took of him are a lot more important.

Well, Dad passed away yesterday morning in his sleep. He was home where he wanted to be when he died. We were able to have a video call the morning before and I thank God for wireless. He was able to talk to and see us. Thanks again gang, I appreciate it very much.
