Hi everybody,

A friend of mine inherited his grandfathers' analog camera gear. He's offering me 2x Nikon FM3a's with a 50mm 1.4, a 135 3.5 and a Noflexar 400 - 600mm (the gun-style model), because he doesn't know what to do with it. Some research taught me that these are quite valuable, especially since they're in very good condition.

The thing is I really want to buy these from my friend, but he doesn't care about the value. "Just give me a honest price", he said. I could just give him €100 and he would be happy, but I know that won't be fair.

Anyone of you knows how much this is worth?

There's one on eBay for $350 with 19 hours left. And that's just with the 50mm 1.8. I don't know what the USD equivalent is to €100 but it seems to be a lot less than $350 USD for one.

EDIT: I just checked. €100 = $128 so that would be a GREAT deal for 2 of them! I'd do him a favor and offer €200.

Shampoo sounds like an unfortunate name for a hair product.

Sorry about the €/$ confusion :)

I've seen them on eBay from $400 to $1500. Both bodies are almost new in box, with barely 100 shots taken with, complete with papers. Also the noflexar is priced between $300 and $ 1000 on eBay. It's not my intention to resell al the gear at once, so I want to use it for a while. I just don't feel like giving him $2000 for the entire set. ;)
