U15 Boys Soccer

Some pics from my son's soccer team. They are currently ranked #10 in TN. Getting ready to go to State Championship this weekend. First time going.

Nice shots Therone. what lens did you use?
The other players in 4 and 5 are a bit distracting but nothing you can do about it. 5 - more face would make it more interesting.

I was using a Sigma 120-300 f2.8 os. Thanks for the comments.

Nice set, I think #2 would only be OOF to most people if they pixel-peeped. On another thread someone posted a link to SI's 100 greatest sports photos and a lot of them were about the moment rather than being razor sharp.

Of course catching the moment and nailing focus is preferred, at least personally.

These are great shots. I really like the bicycle kick shot. Pretty tough to catch that from such a good angle.

great timing and crispness as always Theron! Love the bicycle shot, regardless. I have plenty that I have kept despite them not really being "keepers". Why does it always seem like its your own kid when that happens???

Great stuff as always, particularly like 4 and 5. FWIW, I see where you were going with the first one (I know, I've tried it too) but sometimes, low is just too low. The angle on the second one of your son is much better imo.
