Here's the link ... and it IS sponsored by Canon!

Some very good and memorable shots. Don't really agree with some in the top 10, but it IS their top-100 presentation.

Enjoy.

Maybe it's just me, but I think they should have a quick desciption of every shot. Some of these shots may say a lot, but if you don't know the story behind them, then they kind of lose their impact (and thus I don't think they are that strong of photos). Still some really cool shots in there, though none of the sports I do or enjoy were represented lol.

Also, what the heck was that rainbow trout picture doing there?!?

Good thing they did not post those here or we would have 10 pages of "too much grain", "you cut his foot off", "should have used a 400 2.8"

Just shows it is about the moment in time, not the tech.

Thanks!

I found it odd that they didn't have that. Looks like they failed in the UI department, if you ask me.

I always love the shots like this, memories come flooding back.

I would not mind seeing a set such as the top 100 from each year - that would be fun!

just a few of my thoughts...

I'm not qualified to judge, but in my opinion, a lot of these are just photos of top sports moments, not top sports photos. The moment makes me say "WOW", not the photo.

Maybe there's a difference. Maybe not.

Completely agree. More about the 'story' of the image and not image quality. Some are pretty 'unique' and powerful ... like the swimmer who took off his legs before diving into the pool. That one is powerful.

i look at it from the perspective of sports journalism...the photo should tell a story. maybe it's not the most technically sound or amazing photo.

the one head-scratcher of all the photos i looked at (and it wasn't all) was the scenic shot of the Va Tech/Boston College game. not really a unique sports moment. but it was a pretty photo.
