Using a T1i w/24-70 L. Still trying to get savable photos.
Have, at times, been using the non center focal points for landscape shots.
How do I determine the focal point when post processing jpg files or is it even possible?

Thanks,

Jim

If you have the DPP software that comes with Canon cameras, you can see which focus point or points got used during individual images.

If you post some samples that still have the EXIF data, we can probably help figure out if any user error is involved.

The display of AF point tells you WHICH SENSOR LOCATION, it does not tell you what point in the scene was under that AF point at the time of focus...if you focus-recompose you do NOT know what scene item was used as the point of focus.

Thanks guys, close enough.

I do have the DPP program and it showed what I needed.
