Still a tough decision. I'd like to go with a 1DMk3 for wildlife, but was wondering how much I'll lose If I go with a 60D instead.
My main reasoning is having a camera that will do both landscapes and wildlife.
Can't afford a 1DX or 5DMk3, so the 60D seems like the best viable alternative, at least for the price.
I really like my 20D, seems like the 60D would be a good choice, either that or stay with my 20D a little longer and see what comes out next, hopefully a 70D with best features from the 60D and 7D.

I don't think the 1D is the way to go here.

For Wildlife, do you need "reach", or FPS? If it's reach, the 60D's pixel dense sensor will give you more pixels on your subject, giving you better image quality. If FPS, the 7D gives you the same pixel density with the FPS.

For landscapes, the 1.3x crop sensors have very few wide options available; 1.6x crop lenses don't work on the 1D series, and FF wide options are less wide with the crop factor.

I have a 60d that I use for wildlife and its AMAZING.
I regularly get as good or better pics than my friends that shoot with their 7ds.
and i use a "crappy" 100-400L (many dont like it).

check my flickr page in my signature for pics. Everything since last december is with the 60d.
ALL of them are with the 100-400L.

get the 60d and enjoy.

Keep 5D mkII in your options and you may be a happier photographer.
