just scratch out that word and put canon, good as new. Never saw one, and I'm a former Nikonian. I don't know what it even is, unless it has a sticky end or some sort ( like a tack or pad to clean the lens

canon weight ;)

I have two of those, one is magic marker sized and the other is a little skinnier but they both work well. Up until I got these last year as an Xmas present from the wife I had been using the "old-fashioned lens cleaner liquid on lens paper and wipe dry with chamois" method and the lens pens is a whole lot better and easier. And it doesn't leave any "water" marks behind, either, like the lens cleaner liquid does. I have no idea how it works but it sure does do the job well! And, btw, mine are not Nikons. :)

I have a lens pen. I think one manufacturer makes 'em all. Mine's identical except it's a different brand. Works like a charm...as a quick fix until you can get somewhere to do a real cleaning.

I have the exact brand of lens pen (Nikon). I got a couple when Amazon had them on sale for $5 each. They work great! As a precaution though, before using it I blow dust off the lens surface with my rocket blower. This makes sure that when the pen is applied, there wouldn't be any dust particle to cause scratches on the surface.

I find the Lenspen to work better and MUCH easier than any product I've used,.

I have Eclipse,. I hve "ROR" and pecpads etc...

Eclipse.. is just a disaster,.. it seems next to impossible to get reults without several tries,. and once the process caused it to spontaeneously semi harden to the surface of the front element of my 200mm f/1.8..

... while trying to clean this surface coat off,. (I had no idea this had occured yet) the results of the uneven removal of this semi-skin of eclipse looked exactly like dozens of tiny little scratches.. for about fifteen minutesd I was practically sitting in a fetal postion convinced I had just trashed the most expensive thing I had ever purchased....

Eclipse will never touch my lenses again.

The lens pen just works.

I still use ROR for larger jobs.. but even there,. the lens pen is so much easier.

I got the Nikon Brandedversion of the lens pen and it works great on the fly. I also use Optic Prep by Chemtronics to remove more stubborn spots.

Saw a review of one in one of my magazines last year and just happened to see one at my local Photo store on sale so I bought it.
One of my best buys. Does a great job cleaning and vety easy to carry around.
Highly recommend it.

A good friend and Nikon user (amazingly they can be one in the same sometimes ;) j/k ) whipped one out on one of our shoots. Fell in love with it and bought one as soon as I got home. Mine's a different brand, but seems to be identical otherwise. I never leave home without it.
