I just breathe on my lens and wipe with a disposable lens tissue. Comes out streak free and perfectly clean every time. No scratches at all either.

My order of cleaning:

1. A couple of blows with a rectal syringe.

2. If visible dust remains, I use an ionizer made from a BBQ ignitor and then a couple more shots with the rectal syringe.

3. If any dust or smudge remains, the Lens Pen is put to use.

4. If the Lens Pens fails, it's time to check out B&H for a new lens ;-)a

Occasionally I'll take time to clean a lens with lens cleaner liquid and paper tissue if I don't have the cash for B&H and all else has failed ;-)a

I have a lenspen in every bag. Its cheap enough, so when I change bags its one less thing to worry about. It is my first level of cleaning. Next step is to use lens cleaning fluid and Kodak Lens Tissues. I have microfiber cloths and ROR, but I have not had to resort to them yet.

Have Fun,

Rick

Lenspens are great. I am pretty sure that all the different brands are identical and made by one manufacturer. I have found that my lenspen works better than a microfiber cloth and just as good as some of the wetter methods, but it's much easier and convenient to use. My current lenspen is starting to wear, though, so I need to pick up a couple more. I will say that I still use my microfiber cloth and breath fog for cleaning my filters, since the lenspen is concave to fit the convex front elements of lenses. It makes cleaning perfectly flat surfaces like filters much less efficient.

The included brush is pretty nice for getting loose dust specks off too!
