I've been using an old ATI 4850 graphic card and want to upgrade to something new to match my new Dell U2711. I'm using CS6 and LR4, so what do you guys recommend without breaking the bank. Thanks!

To get the most out of the 2711 you could look at a card with full 10bit support like one of the Nvidia Quadro cards. But they are very expensive. If you doing video or 3D work then again the Quadro are great, but you can get similar or better performance from a high end gaming card. I want to upgrade my old graphic card. I believe the quadro cards are really expensive. I'm looking to spend somewhere around 100-250 the most. What do you recommend?

Well let me put it this way. What's a good graphic card to utilize the Dell U2711 to it's full potiential without breaking the bank.

Even with PS and Lightroom being so "visually" oriented, they are not hard on a video card at all. Even integrated graphics don't have that much trouble with them. Sure a good card is better. But often the added performance is not worth the money. Now if you play games on the side etc...etc... that is a different story all together. But for PS and LR, a $75 card is more than fine.

Thanks! nVidis GT560 or higher but ideally if you are running CS6 you should look into a least a Quadro 4000 card, which I am running. Cameras: 5D III Gripped | 1D MK 3 | 70D
