How can I limit the EXIF info displayed on JAlbum when making my gallery? I just want to show the basic info... (ie. date, aperture, focal length, ISO, exposure time, etc). All the other is just way bloated for me.

Oh another thing, my ISO Rating (extracted from my EXIF) shows this: " ISO SETTING: Not specified (see ISOSpeedRatings tag)"...Anyone know how to fix this so that the true ISO will show?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Im also using Jalbum, with the default chameleon skin - see sample (external link)

This skin only displays the settings you discribe.

What skin are you using?

The exifdata, including iso setting, displays without problems, maybe you need to update the template you are using?

I did a few minor changes to the template and i think thats what you need to do if you want to customize the text.

Thanks for the response. I am using the default template Chameleon. Can you tell me how to change and tell the template to only display the limited EXIF info and correct ISO? In fact your display info is exactly what I want.

BTW, nice gallery!

Thank you for the kind words.

The displayed exifdate is actually the default settings.

I only added the line of text that say: "Click to open 100% crop" and the mouseover text that read "Zoom" I changed to "100% crop"
The metadate section i didn't touch.

You are welcome to try my version of the template and the settings I use:

Could you post a screendump of how the gallery looks?

I would like to see which exifs you are getting.

Thanks for helping out. I used your setting and the ISO is still not using. Secondly, I don't want Exposure Mode to show. Here's the sample. Can you tell me what to change to minimize my EXIF info down to exactly what yours show? Is there something in JAlbum to make those changes?

Yes, these photos are JPGs straight from the camera, not RAW. Maybe that explains it. Still, weird that it captures everything except ISO? I will conduct a test with my RAW files and then convert it to JPG and see what happens.

Nice pool! :)

You need to change the file "slide.htt" in the Chameleon skin's directory.
Default location is here:

"C:\Program Files\JAlbum\skins\Chameleon\slide.htt"

Open this in notepad and go to the bottom of the file. Here you will find find lines that look like this:
<ja:if test="<%=meta.get("Canon Makernote.Owner Name") != null%>"><b>$text.photographer:</b><%=meta.get("Canon Makernote.Owner Name")%> | </ja:if>

Just delete the lines that you dont want and run the "make album" until you are satisfied with the looks.

REMEMBER TO BACK UP THE SLIDE.HTT!!
just in case ;)

I did some editing on my "slide.htt" you can try it to see if it satisfies you:
