Hey guys, I'm red/green deficient (not blind). Don't be confused with complete color blindness which is much rarer. What see I see compared to normal people, are just duller shades of green and red.

If you want to see what I see, basically take a picture of a red object, go into a post processing software and reduce the vibrance of red/green a few notches. If something is very bright red, I obviously can tell it's red since reducing the vibrance still shows a red object. But if it is a very pale pink, reduce its vibrance makes it look white... which is why pastel shades of red/green are hard for me to see.

Any other photogs out there colorblind? When calibrating a screen, should I purposely boost red/green colors so it compensates from my problem?

I'm red/green deficient also.

Calibrate to be perfect not the way you want to see colors.

Spyder4 Elite from Datacolor is a good product. What are you using?

It helps to use a good monitor.

Also, check "Similar Threads" at the botom of this thread. There is a lot of information for "Color Blind".

BTW don't let "color blind" distract you. I don't.
