I don't want to anger any rifleman, but this sure seems like a lot more fun way of hunting deer.

Good shots. To my taste, they could use a bit more contrast and a little levels/curve adjustment.

Beautiful shots, Trevor. He doesn't look like he even knew you were there, tail down and all, very relaxed.

I don't see how your comment could be insulting. Proper hunting is hard work before and after you take the shot. Photographs are the equivalent of catch and release :D

Fair enough comments. I will look into that, though I found it hard to find a balance between contrast and blowing the highlights, the snow makes it difficult. Maybe I will isolate the deer when I get more time.

I too prefer hunting with my lens. While I don't agree with trophy hunting. I don't have a problem at all, with hunting for food, even though I don't do it myself. Cuz DANG, venison is tasty!

Really love the first shot a lovely composed portrait and love the snow, with 2 and 3 the subjects head is to close to the edge of the photo, try and look for room for your subject to move into as to where its looking :)

As a hunter, myself, I would prefer to have an arrow to shoot that majestic beast!
Not just for the trophy value, the venison is mighty tasty too!:D
