This RAAF 34SQN BBJ came in to Richmond tonight so I tried some panning, 7D+70-200F4L.

Some light behind the AC, if you can find some, would be nice .

Thanks Frank, just had another look at the thread & it all makes sense, just need more practice!
Sadly no chance of more light behind, when shooting from my deck the a/c is at about 1/2 mile finals & I'm shooting above the town.

OK, maybe shoot a little earlier then? Some of the best "night shots" I've seen were taken before it's totally dark while there's still some light left in the sky.
