Baader filter built, batteries charged, just need the weather to play ball tomorrow...

some fairly old canon camera stuff, canon lenses, Manfrotto "thingy", and an M5, also an M6 that has had a 720nm filter bolted onto the sensor:

I hope you have the same luck I had on my second total eclipse - and not the luck I had on my first.

Thanks Frank and also for the filter assy instructions - got away to a great start then ripped the filter after tightening the threads just a bit. Second one is a bit wrinkly but intact so should be good. I also have to visit 2 client sites this morning so it's going to need a bit of co-ordinating.

There's cloud around but also breaks, so fingers crossed it's still okay in 3 hrs time. :-)

Well how did it go? :D

We saw it from QLD Australia. It was cloudy but we got lucky and they mostly got out of the way for totality.

I had my camera tethered to the laptop to take pics automatically so I could observe... everything was going perfectly, and then I couldn't get the solar filter off when totality was approaching. I'll get over it in time, but I expect it will take lots of expensive counseling.
