B&W for me, I find the pink shirt in the BG distracting


If steroids are illegal for athletes, should PS be illegal for models?
Digital - 50D, 20D IR Conv, 9 Lenses from 8mm to 300mm
Analog - Mamiya RB67 Pro-SD, Canon A-1, Nikon F4S, YashicaMat 124G, Rollei 35S, QL17 GIII, Zeiss Ikon Ikoflex 1st Version, and and entire room full of lenses and other stuff

I like the color one. That is a way cute shot, but the background kind of kills it.

It doesn't look like it would be too hard to cut those two out and place them on a better background. Look for some tutorials on background change and give it a try. Can't hurt.....

Good suggestion, or a wide open apature on his 50 1.8 for a blured backround (DOF) also known as bokeh

I wouldve used my 50mm but I didnt have it with me. I had JUST gotten home from deployment and I was shooting all the reunions.

If you have LR4 - bring in the (hopefully raw) image and use the brush tool to select the BG. Desaturate a bit and run the clarity and sharpness to max negative.

It helps the BG quite a bit. And it is cute.

B&W for me as color is not an important part of this particular image, and converting to BW makes the background distractions not quite so --- distracting. Cute image!
