Does anyone know where I can buy the lensmate 52mm adapter in the UK? I bought Canon 58mm with the camera, but prefer the look/size of the lensmate. and I have a spare 52mm UV filter, circular polariser etc.

hi,

i got mine from the company in seattle - mainly because they were nice enough to mark the item as a second hand product on the box, and devlaue it below £18 so that i didnt have to get screwed by the taxman. plus i got all the different lenses at the same time and they only charged me £8 for shipping - it arrived in less than one week from shipment date.

hope this helps :)

Hi Dave B

I had a similar experience just ordering the Lensmate 52mm adapter direct from the UK (though I didn't do any fancy footwork about second hand goods... ;-)a ). The adapter arrived within a week.

Thanks Dr Hasan/James

I guess I'll have to order it direct, but at least, from your experiences, I can do it with confidence.

hi,

and the best thing about it right now is the US$ is quite cheap - i got it when it was $1.45=£1 - now its closer to $1.6. so for like $100 its £62.50 compared to almost £70 - not a lot but hey thats like another filter from ebay ;)

Being of Dutch-Scottish descent I always ask US shippers to mark the custom form "gift". That makes the package VAT free in Holland up to some maximum I haven't discovered yet. I've just ordered the Lensmate 52/Kenko/pol. filter from the USA.
