Hey folks,
I have a problem.

I have to resize and convert pictures using Photoshop CS5.

I do the following:
1. open photoshop
2. loading a picture
3. create a new action that records my steps
4. Image->Canvas->Pixel (change the pixel and the direction where it should aplly
5. Data->Save->change the fileformat from png to jpg
6. jpg quality to 8
7. Data->Save as leave png in there and save it
8. close the picture
9. stop the action recording
10. Data->Automate
11. enter the source path
12. enter the destination path
13. press on ok
14. wait

The following problems occur:
1. The pictures are stored as copies with "copy" in the filename
2. while doing it's job photoshop askes me to save the file which is about to be closed, eventhough I did it in the recording. This stops the whole Action and I need to press on "forward"

Whats going wrong there?

thanks winam

If you have changed the original file name in any way, Photoshop asks automatically - it assumes you want to save the original as well. Good default behavior in my book.

Don't include "Save" or "Save as" in actions. Use the image processor instead.
