i like the sepia tone and the setting. There is an illusion of someting growing out of his the branch looks like it is barel of a rifle or gome other weapon. It threw me off for a second. Great Idea for a set an phot otherwise

The place is the Réunion island 400 miles east from Madagascar on the tropic of Capricorn.
There are arrid alteplanos in the mountains and where the monsoons from the Indian Ocean rain down the vegetation is quite impressive. My son and I went for a hike, he took this picture. The sepia toning is nothing fancy, just H/S layer with hue 36 and saturation 25 with "colorize" on a "channel mixer" BW where I pulled down the reds and pushed up blues and greens to near-burn.
