Two days ago I found this Snowy Owl. First one I have been able to get as close to in many years. The 280mm of reach on my lens can be a limiting factor under these situations but I am happy enough to have seen him/her even at -14 degrees C. The 3rd shot is a quick composite of his/her exit (the 3 shots are in order and in succession).

Cool shots, we hardly never get these animals this far south. I did see one as a kid, many, many years ago.
