Get out the hose! Cute picture Maureen. I think he's staring in disbelief at that new flash of yours.

Great capture with nice color Maureen. Did you see an improvement in white balance when you got your 580EX?

I am still fiddling with it Bob.... this was shot at -2/3 because the first shot at 0 was way too bright. I LOVE having that kind of control with my flash. I also changed the color temperature in my camera and the colors are not so warm/golden.

I also switched over to Cfn 4-1 this week so I am trying to learn all kinds of new things.

Old dog still learning new tricks:D

Like you wrote to me on my last post Maureen, this is one of those "thats what cameras were made for" shots. :D

I read that the 580EX flash sends information to the camera on the pre-flash which includes color balance information. I've always been extremely happy with the color balance using my flash with the cameras WB set to auto. Just a suggestion.

Thanks, Joel.... I use CWB fequently but not this time.... I grabbed the camera and started shooting...only stopped to turn the flash output down a bit. My camera has always shot quite warm, even on CWB. I found that decreasing the color temperature from 5200 to 4800 has worked really well for me.

Thank-you Bob, Malla, Misskitty, BobA, Ron, Liza, Kev and Jon. Sorry it took a whole day for me to get back to this to thank -you for commenting.

Yes, baby Joel was very intrigued with the flash.... he smiled every time it went off and then got this anticipating stare back on every time I took the photo. Naturally.
