Proper settings for JPEG saving out of PS CS2?

Hello all -

What are the best settings to keep a saved JPEG out of CS2 close to it's RAW original? I am joining PrintRoom and I want to ensure I keep the best quality possible.

Best quality would be best quality.. full resolution. If using "save as" jpeg,. then the slider would be on "12"

If using "save for the web" then slider would be set to "100" (know Idea why Adobe made these dialogue numbers so different??? )

But is "best quality possible" really what you are looking for?

Please explain further.. are you looking for something to post on the 'net that others can view.. in which case "best quality possible" is not the best option at all,..

Or are you looking for final image settings after P&P for printing?

In which case Jpeg itself is not the best quality possible...

To answer your questions, I am looking for the best settings for the final save before printing. I always save any JPEG's set to 12, but I am unsure if there are other settings in that box (progressive, etc) that are better for print.

Tiff would be the best way to save it to have the most detail from your RAW
