Tonight whilst in the studio, my 500 flash head slid down the light stand. Now it still flashes but the lights are off completely between flashes
Any suggestions ??

Are sure that you haven't set the modelling lamp to switch off between flashes? It comes back on when the unit recharges.

bannedPermanent ban

Sounds like something loose in the crash.
You know that is why the stands are called Booms.
But Bowens uses sturdy stands.
Contact Bowens first and open second.

...but your modelling light switches off after the flash, then switches on again ?

If the modelling light isn't on at all it could be the modelling fuse or the modelling bulb?

Modeling bulb filament probably broke so try swapping for another bulb to test the socket. If you have a tester you could also check the socket for power that way. Least if that is the problem it would be a very cheap and easy fix.
