Got a new addition to my family. New to me Canon EF 500mm F4 IS V1 and Canon 1.4x II converter. Wow is about all I can say. I thought my 100-400 was fairly good. The 500 puts it to shame. Wished spring was a little closer.

The wife was even impressed.

Looking for a duck tomorrow!!

You have gone and done it! The 500 is probably the most sought after lens for wildlife photographers. Learn to use it on top quality support or hand held if necessary and you will see a significant improvement in your images - and biceps!
Congratulations - you will love it!

Life is for living, cameras are to capture it (one day I will learn how!).

After the new wears off in a few weeks, rent it to us to help cover the cost.
