So long story short I got super busy and didn't have time to take photos. On a trip for work I was able to snap a few and just got around to editing them. As you can tell the sky was not good to me that day. However I was just driving through so no choice. Exif should be intact.

Both are nice shots, as in where they were taken, and your cropping of them, but to me, both use too large of an aperture.
That may be what you were after, but if not, take shots like that with a greater aperture, like f/11 or more to get a greater depth of field. Both of these (to me) would benefit from that. Both are out of focus at a distance, and I feel that these both would have a lot more potential using that method.

Also, both have shadows that are way too dark, that may be a personal preference, if it is, you accomplished what you set out to do. For me, it makes the shots look muddy and since the backgrounds are not in focus, it makes them look 'blobbish', where it all runs together.

Don't get me wrong though, I really do like both shots. :)

Welcome back!

They seem really overly dark to me as well benji.the second especially, the contrast hurts this one.

you're a great friend, but if Zombies chase us, I am tripping you.

I agree with stanclark on #1, there's too much sky. When I scrolled the page down so I was mostly seeing pavement with just a small V of sky above it became a much stronger image. #2 is interesting with the color contrasts, but I think it needs something more, maybe just a boost in overall brightness and contrast as noted by Flo.

Some Canon stuff and a little bit of Yongnuo.
