If you need the manual for the T1i go to http://www.fhs.cuni.cz …ka/dokumenty/eos-500D.pdf (external link) and download a copy.

Set your shutter speed to 1/125 and see if you still get the problem. Your max shutter speed for flash is 1/200 (xsync). Any faster and you'll get black bars in your photos. Slower is OK.

Just picked up a brand new 60d package on an awesome deal!!! Came with 60D body, 18-135 lens, 8gb card, spare canon battery, and camera bag. All brand new never even opened and I paid $650 for the complete bundle!

Like John from PA, I got my 60D from Canon Direct refurbs with a 20% discount. Mine had 144 shutter actuations and was in pristine condition. I added a 15-85 and a 70-300L for a two lens solution. I couldn't be happier. I do plan on purchasing a 100L macro lens soon for butterflies and flowers.

This is great advice. I too have a 60d that I bought from Canon Refurb. I dont have those lenses, but they are an amazing combo.

That is the best deal I have ever heard of. Makes me a little skeptical. And details of where?

Craigslist, guy got it as a house warming gift and never opened it and was passed the point he could return it so he listed it on Craigslist and needed money for the holiday so i jumped on it immediately. Box was still taped shot, all accessories were unopened, everything in the camera box was still taped shut and in the bubble wrap canon wrapped it in. Was no activations on the shutter, was all 100% brand new.

Next thing Id like to add to my collection of gear is a faster zoom lens for night/low light/general use and was leaning towards a 16-35 f2.8L. Reason being is I currently use my 40mm for those type of shots and finds its focal range to be perfect for me only at times wishing it was wider. (Pets and cousins who when see the camera always run up closer to it) keeping in mind it also be used for motorsports to take pit/burnout/starting line pictures at night, would this be a good lens to pair with my 60D?

Yes, it would be good, but the Canon EF-S 17-55 f/2.8 IS USM would be better. The 17-55 costs less, comes with IS, and covers a wider FL range.

Canon EOS 7D | EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS USM | EF-S 55-250mm f/4.0-5.6 IS |
EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS USM | 250D | EF-S 10-22 mm f/3.5-4.5 USM | 580 EX II |
