Hi guys,

I picked up a PS3 and a copy of GT5 last night, both without boxes or manuals.

So, I have a few questions...

1: How do I change the previous owner's name on the console? It seems to attach itself to GT5...

2: I went to race in a B-Series race (FF 3 race tournament), but it doesn't really lets me race...all I can do is watch the computer race and give it commands like speed up or slow down. Right now all I can do for actual driving is the licences. Is this normal? (I seem to remember having to earn licences in GT4 when I had it years and years ago, but I also have GT for PSP, and you can just go out and race on that)...by the way, I'm talking career mode, not arcade mode.

Do I have to earn my licences before I can actually race? Or am I just in the wrong "mode" for the tournaments?

I'm sure I'll have more questions later, thanks for your help in advance!! :)

T

Not sure on the name change...

As for the rest:

That's what B-Spec is. You basically just tell what the driver to do. I found it pretty boring really.

As for racing, you have to earn your licenses before you can enter races, and you have to end up with certain licenses before you can enter the higher races, none of that has changed with GT5. It should tell you when you enter the races what license you need to have.

Thanks! I figured out the name change (at least in theory...gotta wait 'till I get home later to actually try it) and B-spec looks idiotic. I can't believe they thought anyone interested in GT would actually enjoy B-spec mode (no one I've talked to about this has had anything positive to say about it haha).

Thanks, I'll go home tonight and start earning my licence I guess :D

How do I restart a race I just finished?

Like if I come in anything other than 1st, I usually try to restart and give it another shot...most other games have a restart option, but on this one it seems that I have to quit the game then go into it again...seems like a waste of time...(I know how to restart the race while it's in progress, but not once it's finished)

It's not really a name change...just create a new account and delete the old one :p

Never mind...updated the game, and now I have the option to restart races after they're finished...I guess this was a bug in the initial release of the game.
