This guy had flown repeatedly over the peanuts plate without daring to land: I was too close for his taste...
After unsuccessfully trying another position, I was ready to pack up and go when I decided to give it a last try from a third place, a bit farther from the feeder, but with a nicer background - and the RBW rewarded me with this.
Thanks for looking.

Thanks to all for your nice comments. You know how, especially in bird / animal photography, the ideal picture you were seeking all morning has a way to materialize before your stunned eyes right after you have packed your gear and are unable to take any more photo (and if you rush to unpack, the picture just vanishes while you're still fumbling with your lens cap or something)... I had that in mind when I was ready to pack, and I decided to trump that rule and give it one more try and... was rewarded :)

Beautiful shots. Love the bokeh and how it compliments the red on the bird.

Thank you; it's a red tree, maple or something, in the neighbor's back yard.

Thank you Rex. Yes indeed the background is as important as the subject.
Here is the set up and one more portrait of the RBW.
