Riding roller coasters is another one of my hobbies. I've traveled to quite a few different parks, and been to 8 this year alone. So rather than make a thread for each park I've been to, I'm just going to post a few from my collection overall. These are all taken with my Canon Powershot SX120 IS. I think this is a great camera and I'll probably still use it at amusement parks after I get a DSLR just because of it's size. When I go, I want to ride and don't always have someone else to watch my stuff, so the camera needs to come with me. This can fit in my pocket easily, unlike a DSLR. Works great in daylight, and I've gotten better with keeping steady for some good extended exposure night shots.

X-Flight on the season pass holders' preview day at SFGAm. It was unfortunately cloudy day and I didn't get as good of a picture as I had hoped.

Of course. My current track record is 86, and I'll probably break 100 next season. I just began traveling specifically for coasters this past season and added 21coasters to my track record.

Thank you. Rides with splash elements make for excellent pictures. It's also the only thing to do in line. I have probably 3 dozen more pictures on my computer of just that element.
