I've had this flash for several years with probably 3000 hits on it. Just recently the light indicator stays on red and does not fire. Any suggestions? Is it just done?

According to the manual, on page 7, if you shoot more than 20 shots in a row it can degrade the flash head. I think the common term for photographers is "burned it up" lol. Do you think it could be burnt up? _
