I am a true novice at this website stuff. Computer fluent. I know there is something easy I am doing wrong.

I installed photocrati theme to my dreamhost. I load up website and it shows in the header "brian phillips photographer" But the headings to the right (home, galleries, about, etc....) are not showing up. I have deleted pages and redid under quick setup. I can't seem to get them to show up.

Can somebody please point me in the correct direction to get a website setup?

How do I get in the header the home, portfolio, about, prices, etc.... to show up.
then, how do I get sub menues to show up. Say I click on portfolio, I want drop down menus for People, Fun things, Yoga, etc....
Under each of those will have the galleries.

Then on the bottom of the page I want static buttons about the same stuff (home, about, portfolio, etc......) and maybe contact info and copyright info.

Any simple tutorials people have done. I know there is something super easy I am messing up

My website is brianphillipsphotographer.com

Have you added any pages Brian, then added those pages to the Menu?

Dashboard>Appearance>Menus then make sure you've created a "Main" menu, then add your pages to it by selecting them in the Pages dropdown, then Add to Menu

Dont forget to Save your main menu once you've finished adding pages to it ;)

Vault got it right on the money, Brian. If you ever have support questions about the theme, don't hesitate to use the contact form in the members area. The Photocrati support team is top notch! (http://members.photocrati.com (external link))

With all Wordpress themes you need to add menus, then add pages to them. The Photocrati support really is great.
