Just saw this deal but never heard of this seller before. Really good deal that it makes me wonder where the catch is.
Let me know what you think.

Tempting. If you get $800 for the lens, that brings the body down to $2699. They have a 7.89/10 on ResellerRatings and say everything comes with a USA warranty but I don't see them on Canon's authorized dealer list unless they're operating under a different name. I do see a lot of overpriced "recommended accessories" on the right so I wonder if they're going to suddenly be out of stock unless you buy a $179 battery or $200 "professional" filter kit.

That what I was thinking. I saw in the reviews on reseller ratings talking about getting that confirmation call. I would decline that and see what the get me.
I would keep the lens. it is the combo I am looking for.
Just not sure if I should get it from this site because I don't see them on the reseller list.

If you go ahead and buy, I'd take screen shots the product page on their site and use your most member-friendly credit card in case you have to do a chargeback.

Good idea.
I could check with Canon regarding the warranty and use my Amex.
Thanks for the idea.

First, the 718 Area Code makes me dig deeper, then the "Contact Us" address in Brooklyn would make me look for another place to spend my money.
Too many bad dealers in Brooklyn to spend money with an unknown dealer. Checking Reseller Ratings to see what is said there is always a good idea.
