Stingray in the Bayou

Taken this morning, water temp about 60 degrees. This little ray was in about 6 inches of water. Taken from my boat with 200 zoom.

Thank you. It was in brackish water. Salinity today was about 25 parts per thousand. Largemouth bass, red drum (redfish), speckled sea trout, stingrays, etc all live in the same ecosystem. Just about 25 yards from this stingray, I shot a blue crab. I'll post it in another thread.

Thanks, Rick. This was pretty much a juvenile. About the size of a dinner plate. The marsh area is a nursery ground. As they grow larger, they move out into the open Gulf of Mexico.

I don't know if that's good or bad...I wanted a nice tight crop to isolate the subject, but I wouldn't want to make it seem out of proportion either.
